From Chief Meteorologist Chris Suchan
A cool front will go stationary across the northern tier of our viewing area and will be weakening. It still may have enough of a spark to trigger a isolated shower or storm in the Hill Country or our eastern zone counties the next 24hrs before moving away. This represents our best rain chance the next 7 days! Temperatures will continue to run well above average straight into next weekend too with no signs of decent cooling into the first day of September. Yes, I may be guilty of looking deep into the forecast for signs of our first early season autumn cool front.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of a shower or storm. Low 76
Tuesday: Slight rain chance early then partly sunny. 10% rain later in the day. High 99

Thursday: Mostly sunny and very hot. High near 100
