Irene Cruz co-anchors News 4 San Antonio at 10pm with Randy Beamer and reports on key local stories for the newscasts at 5pm, 6pm and Evening Break.
Irene previously worked at ABC10 in Sacramento, California as an anchor/reporter. She started her career at News 11, the NBC affiliate in Yuma, Arizona, where she anchored and produced the weekday evening newscasts.
Irene graduated with a B.A. in Literary Journalism at the University of California, Irvine -- graduating in three years with the Chancellor's Award of Distinction. During her college years, Irene interned at WBBM, the CBS station in Chicago, and KNSD, the NBC station in San Diego. She was also awarded a student scholarship by the Asian American Journalists Association.
