Hi San Antonio! I am a general assignments reporter. I joined the newsroom in April 2020.
I am so excited to call San Antonio home! I can’t wait to go to my first Spurs game and see/experience everything Central Texas has to offer!
Most recently, I was a co-anchor for the KFOX14 Morning News in El Paso, Texas. Prior to that, I worked as a general assignments multi-media journalist for KFOX14 and CBS4, from May 2017 to November 2018. While there I covered a wide variety of stories but focused on holding our elected officials accountable, military affairs, education and the U.S. / Mexico border.
Some of my most fond experiences were covering the various training soldiers at Fort Bliss would take part in, along with completing the media academies with the El Paso Fire Department and El Paso Police Department.
I started my journalism career in Lubbock, Texas, where I was an anchor/reporter for KCBD NewsChannel 11. While I was there, I had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C. to cover Honor Flight. Honor Flight is a trip where local veterans get to see the memorials built in their honor. I also covered the high-profile murder trial of Dr. Thomas Michael Dixon and the Mark Ysasaga Case.
I graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2013 with a dual degree in journalism and English. While at Tech, I worked as a reporter for the student-run Daily Toreador and MCTV.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with family, friends and finding food! In fact, I’m always on the hunt for a new place to try. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
I am so happy to be in San Antonio, and to be able to tell your stories.
If you have any story ideas, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t be shy, I love meeting new people!
