WATCH: Spurs' Jean-Charles doing work in the G League
Austin Spurs' Livio Jean-Charles posted his 5th double-double of the season in the team’s recent two-point win (89-87) over the Iowa Wolves.
Jean-Charles finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds, pacing the team to their 24th win of the season.
Livio started the game off hitting the team’s first five points from an array of mid-range jumpers. He did not hesitate to put up the shot, this was key for him in this game.
Being active on the offensive side of the ball, even when his shots were missed, Charles stayed with the play and did not give up getting his own rebound and putting the ball back in.
Charles also showed what he could do when putting the ball on the floor. This was able to happen but him knocking down his shots from the perimeter earlier on. His ability to knock down his shots made the defense think whether to go out and contest, when they did, he was able to put the ball on the floor, penetrate, and find open teammates.
The San Antonio Spurs' 2013 Draft pick is averaging 11.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for Austin.
