SAN ANTONIO - Let's try the Tropical Smoothie Frisco Bowl for the second time.

Remember in 2020, UTSA was originally scheduled to play in that game against SMU, but the Mustangs had to back out because of COVID-19. The Roadrunners then switched to the First Responder Bowl, where they lost to Louisiana-Lafayette 31-24.

This time, they'll take on the San Diego Aztecs, who despite getting blown out 46-13 to Utah State in their Mountain West Conference championship game, they're still ranked No. 24 in the latest College Football Playoff poll.

UTSA is 12-1 and beat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 49-41 on Friday to claim its first Conference USA championship at the Alamodome.
