BASEBALL: Texas State rallies past UTSA 11-8

SAN ANTONIO - UTSA was looking for a sweep of the Texas State Bobcats on the baseball diamond Tuesday night.

UTSA dropped their last two to Rice, while Texas State has lost eight straight.

In the first inning, Texas State jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Luke Sherly's single into left scored Jaylen Hubbard, who slides into home ahead of the tag for a 3-0 lead for the Bobcats.

Trent Bowles' shot up the middle helped plate two runs for the Roadrunners in their half of the first to cut Texas State's lead to one.

Later in the inning, UTSA takes the lead on Mason George brings in two more runs for a 4-3 lead.

But Texas State rallies for the 11-8 win.
