WATCH: Popovich talks why team decided to sit out Kawhi Leonard indefinitely
The San Antonio Spurs announced they have decided to indefinitely sit out forward Kawhi Leonard as he continues to deal with a right quadriceps issue that has hampered him since coming back to the court.
Prior to the Spurs matchup versus the Nets, Head Coach Gregg Popovich spoke on why the team decided to take this course of action with Leonard.
In addition, Pop admitted the injury hit Kawhi's confidence.
It should be noted, the "indefinite" tag to Kawhi's injury doesn't mean he is 100-percent out for the season. Popovich said the reason for the label was to stop the constnt questioning on Leonard's status game-in and game-out.
