SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs and USAA, the official military appreciation partner of the Silver and Black, will pay tribute to servicemembers, veterans, and their families with a USAA Salute Night in honor of Veterans Day when the Spurs host the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Nov. 10. Servicemembers and veterans can receive up to 40 percent off of tickets to Saturday’s game at Spurs.com/Salute. Fans with a military ID at the game vs. Houston will also receive 15 percent off of merchandise in the Spurs Fan Shop.
The Spurs will wear their silver-and-black camouflage Nike City Edition jerseys as veterans and active duty personnel stationed in Military City USA are celebrated and recognized throughout the game. Active military members will present a court-sized American flag, stretched across the floor during the National Anthem, and members of each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces will display their colors.
Individual and season tickets for the 2018-19 campaign are available at all levels. To become a Spurs Season Ticket Member, visit Spurs.com/SeasonTickets or call (210) 444-5050. Suites for individual games are also available and can be booked by calling (210) 444-5643. The 2018-19 Spurs season is presented by H-E-B.
As for the camouflage Nike City Edition jerseys, the NBA's site, Locker Vision, recently leaked a photo of the redesigned camouflage-inspired "Earned" jersey but did take the image down.
Note on the website, the Nov. 10th game listed a jersey as "coming soon."
The NBA has not released an official image of the redesigned jersey and the team could go with last season's version on Nov. 10.
According to the Spurs, the camouflage-patterned jersey tops and shorts are modeled after the U.S. Army Combat Uniform and honor the servicemen and servicewomen of the U.S. Armed Forces, many of whom have spent time in Military City USA (San Antonio) during their careers.
