This season San Antonio has been riddled with injuries and perhaps the biggest player to get hit by the injury bug has been San Antonio Spurs' star Kawhi Leonard as he continues to deal with a quadriceps issue that hasn't fully healed.

And it is very possible the team will be without his services for the rest of this season.

Speaking at practice today, Head Coach Gregg Popovich gave an honest assessment of the possibility of Kawhi's return and according to him, No. 2 may not be back this season.

Kawhi has only appeared in nine games this season and did not play at all during preseason action. Pop went on to state the team has been playing well without Kawhi in the lineup, that there are only a handful of game reamaining and they'll just have to "move on."

Pop though did give some good news though regarding Rudy Gay, who also has been sideline with an injury. It seems Rudy will be ready to go when the Spurs meet the Denver Nuggets.

Circling back to Kawhi, the Spurs have played well without him, maintaining the third spot in the West, and boast one of the best defenses in the NBA without the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
