Here's some good news to start San Antonio Spurs fan's Monday work week.

According to Steve Kyler of "Basketball Insiders," the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard are expected to hammer out a contract extension.

The Spurs are the only team that can offer him the $219 million extension (if they decide to offer the "supermax") and Kawhi would be hard-pressed to pass up that kind of money should that scenario present itself.

Leonard took all of last season (less nine games) rehabbing his injury (right quadriceps).

However, the issue was mired in reports of a rift between the club and Kawhi, and rumors of him wanting out of San Antonio.
