Report: Spurs offering Danny Green, 1st round pick for Clippers' Bradley

Avery Bradley via NBA

According to a report, the San Antonio Spurs are targeting Clippers' Avery Bradley via trade and are offering a first round pick and Danny Green.

If true, the Spurs would get one of the best defenders in the league. He would shore up the team's point guard depth as well as beef up a Spurs' defense that is already tops in the NBA.

However, giving up Green and a first rounder pick may be a bit steep for Bradley.

For his career, Bradley is averaging 12 points, and 1.7 assists in seven seasons.

Avery does have an expiring contract ($8.8 million) and that could help the Spurs financially to chase free agents or free up money to offer Leonard once his current deal ends.

But is adding more guard depth the answer? And it is not like Green isn't bad at defense. He is one of the best in the NBA and was named to the All NBA Defensive Second Team last season.

The NBA Trade Deadline ends today at 3:00 P.M. EST.
