Kings' Cauley-Stein thinks he's solved the Spurs, sort of

Sacramento Kings big-man Willie Cauley-Stein has some advice for teams searching for advice at stopping the San Antonio Spurs.

Stein and the Kings held a lead as large as 14 points on Monday before San Antonio went on a second-half run that all but ended the Kings' thoughts of snapping their losing streak to the Spurs and up-ending one of the best teams in the West.

Said Cauley-Stein when asked about how to stop the Spurs, “You’ve just got to be able to stay in front of their first initial drive and that kind of shuts them all out."

San Antonio was playing inspired basketball thanks to Davis Bertans, LaMarcus Aldridge and the rest of the Spurs.

The Kings also didn't help themselves, turning the ball over 18 times for 24 Spurs' points.

Even though they are playing without their best player - Kawhi Leonard - the Spurs are still a handful for opposing teams and shutting them down won't be an easy task.

“Easier said than done," said Willie reflecting on his own words.
