WATCH: Spurs' Popovich calls Kawhi Leonard, ESPN rumor 'silly'
Prior to the matchup versus the Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich addressed the reports of Kawhi Leonard and his relationship with his team being strained.
To add more to the rumor, ESPN's Jalen Rose and Stephen A. Smith dumped more fuel on the fire by saying Leonard wants out of San Antonio.
And to cut right to the chase, Popovich made it clear, all the noise surrounding the team and their star player is nonsense.
“Nobody wants to come back more than Kawhi Leonard.
Pop continued, saying second opinions are a good thing and stressed it does not mean anything but making sure everything is being done to get the player healthy.
Pop also stated the Kawhi wasn’t the Kawhi that we know now if it were not for the amount of work that he continues to put in.
For somebody to come up with something about him and his teammates, it’s just silly.”
