Churchill, Reagan meet yet again for chance to go to state

SBG San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO - When it's Churchill and Reagan, you know it's going to be a good match-up regardless the sport.

But for the second-straight year, the Chargers and Rattlers meet in the regional finals with a chance to go to state.

We start with the Chargers, who have won nine of their last 10 games, and had two big wins over Edinburg Vela to set up the rematch with Reagan, a team that ended their season last year and beat them twice in the regular season.

Revenge might be on their mind, but you will hear no trash talking from the Chargers just yet.

As for Reagan, it makes sense that the one team standing in their way is Churchill.

One of the few teams in Region IV that can match them with talent, but as the Rattlers have said all postseason long, the bigger goal is getting to Round Rock for state and winning it all.

That doesn't mean they will overlook the Chargers this weekend, as they know they will be getting Churchill's best shot.
