Hometown Food Company has announced a voluntary recall for select Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose flour products due to salmonella concerns.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, about 12,185 cases of the flour were distributed through a limited number of retailers and distributors, including Publix and Winn-Dixie.

In a tweet, the USDA said the lot codes on the recalled products are 8 292, with a "best if used by" date of April 19, 2020; and 8 293, with a "best if used by" date of April 20, 2020.

So far, there's been no reports of any illnesses. Customers are urged to return the items to the place they purchased the flour for refunds.

The US Food and Drug Administration said the recall is "a good reminder of why you should never eat raw dough when making cookies, etc. Flour, regardless of brand, can contain bacteria that cause disease."
