Geek Squad to offer tech training at The Neighborhood Place


SAN ANTONIO—So many jobs require some technology training and still there are many students who might not be prepared which is why the Geek Squad Academy is helping.

The academy will offer free training for students, ages 10-17, at the Neighborhood Place at 3014 Rivas Street.

Geek Squad Academy will offering two days of tech training in a variety of courses that include: programming and robotics, digital citizenship, digital music, 3-D printing and design and digital photography.

The Geek Squad, computer experts teamed up with Family Services Association to sponsor the training.

“Several of the students have little knowledge or access to this type of technology at home,” said Nancy Hard, President/CEO, Family Service. “The Geek Squad Academy will expose students to a higher level of knowledge in the digital age.”

The academy is July 26 & 27th from 9-3:30pm at the Neighborhood Place. More than 200 students are expected to attend the training classes and you can register here.
