Del Rio Hosts First Air Show In 10 Years


SAN ANTONIO -- A big weekend at Del Rio's Laughlin Air Force Base as thousands came out to put their eyes to the sky.

For the first time in a decade the base hosted acrobatic pilots in an air show dubbed Fiesta Of Flight.

It featured both military and civilian stunt pilots taking to the skies on Saturday.

A spokeswoman for the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce told us Laughlin AFB has a $247 million dollar economic impact on Del Rio and the surrounding Val Verde County, employing 24 percent the regions workforce.

Laughlin is one of only three pilot training bases in the country
