A jury has found a 31-year-old man guilty in the murder of a Texas Woman's University student two years ago just hours after the two met at an off-campus bar.

A jury began deliberations Monday in the trial of Charles Dean Bryant, the suspect accused of murdering a 24-year-old Jacqueline Vandagriff two years ago.

Vandagriff died while having sex with Bryant back in 2016 and police later found her burned and dismembered body by a lake.

A jury deliberated for less than three hours before declaring that Bryant was guilty of murder.

He faces up to life in prison for Vandagriff's murder, tampering with evidence and unrelated child pornography charges.
