15-year-old denied brain surgery has blunt message for insurance company
Fifteen-year-old Cara Pressman gave a blunt message to her insurance company, Aetna, after it denied her for a minimally invasive brain surgery that could stop her seizures.
Pressman and her family were excited when they found out about the surgery, but then the insurance company denied coverage of the surgery.
"I said 'screw you'," Pressman said.
Without insurance, the procedure will cost $300,000.
