SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating who shot and killed a woman at a Southeast side gas station Saturday night.
The incident happened at the 2000 block of Goliad Road at about 10:45 p.m.
Police said a driver in a white SUV pulled up in front of the woman's car and fired a single gun shot toward the vehicle, striking her in the abdomen. When police arrived, the woman was found unresponsive with her 18-month-old girl in the backseat. She was transported to the hospital with a faint pulse and in critical condition, but later succumbed to her injuries. According to the Medical Examiner's Office, the woman has been identified as 25-year-old Summer Perez.
Witnesses said there wasn't an argument before the shooting. At this time, police are still investigating why the suspect shot her.
The suspect was described as an African-American male driving a white SUV.
