Woman found dead inside apartment after bullet is fired through wall
SAN ANTONIO - Police are investigating the strange circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who may have died after a bullet went through the wall of her apartment.
According to police, the woman and her son live at an apartment complex along South Zarzamora and Ceralvo Street. At some point on Thursday night, police said the son fired a gunshot inside the apartment. A bullet went through a wall, but officers were not called to investigate.
On Friday morning, they received a call about a deceased woman at the complex. Investigators said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the woman's body and are treating the case as an "apparent suddent death." An autopsy will be performed to determine her cause of death.
Police at the scene took the son into custody on a charge of deadly conduct. They said it was unclear whether firing the gun had anything to do with the woman's death.
