The woman found dead in an Atascosa County river last month has been identified.

Cynthia Dimas Molina, 40, died of blunt force trauma, according to the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

No arrests in the case have been made thus far, so now her family is seeking your help in bringing her justice.

Her brother, George, is asking for people to come forward with any information on what led to the death of the mother of three.

"She has a brother, she has a sister, she has a lot of people who loved her and we don't know anything about her and we're asking for help," George said.

Molina was found in the Atascosa River near Jourdanton on Feb. 25.

"I woke up today thinking about her remains. Are we going to find any justice for her? So I'm just asking the people anyone who knew her, knew of her, or knew about her whereabouts that night. We're looking for any information, anybody that saw her in her last days," he said.

Dimas has an idea why investigators are having such a hard time uncovering facts about his sister's death.

"She lived a lifestyle where she was on drugs, she lived a lifestyle where she was around shady people. I know some people are hesitant to come forward as soon as something like that happens now that nearly a month has gone by," he said.

He hopes getting her picture out into the public will help people come forward.

"Maybe they can't talk to the cops face-to-face but maybe they can call a tip line and leave any information," George said.
