Will recent rainfall take us out of Stage II water restrictions?
After Monday's rainfall, which soaked most of of San Antonio and more importantly went right over the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone, I woke up wondering if it was going to be enough to push us back over the 650 foot threshold for Stage II water restrictions.
After all, both the recharge and contributing recharge zones in the Hill Country and west of San Antonio picked up between two and almost seven inches of rain on Monday alone.
I had a chance to speak to Anne Hayden, the public relations spokesperson for SAWS and asked how the 'stages" are determined and what it's going to take to have them lifted. Here's my interview with her:
