Two puppies found abandoned in Northside dumpster, donations needed

SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio Pets Alive! says two puppies were found abandoned in a Northside dumpster on Friday.

SAPA said a man went to its medical clinic off Marbach, but was redirected to Animal Care Services because SAPA does not take public intake. The man then left with the puppies, but they were later found in a dumpster behind Culebra Meat Market, which is located in the same shopping center as SAPA.

The dumping of pets is not only inhumane, but illegal, according to SAPA. Police were called and the pets will now be in the care of the medical clinic.
