Authorities arrested three people Thursday afternoon in connection to several burglaries, with thousands of dollars worth of stolen equipment.

A storage facility was broken into on the 2600 block of Babcock Road, prompting detectives to investigate. An estimated $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the facility, police said.

Detectives noticed the equipment was being sold online and made arrangements to purchase them. The three suspects brought the stolen equipment to the location and were met by authorities. Police said the three suspects were arrested Thursday without incident.

“I’m innocent," one of the suspects told the media while she was being taken to a police car. "I didn’t do anything. I didn’t steal anything. I shouldn’t even be in this situation right now. I should be at work doing what I need to do to take care of myself."

Investigators recovered more stolen property at another location.

The three suspects were arrested and charged with felony theft enhancement, because they have been arrested and charged with previous thefts. Police said prison time is possible if they are convicted.

Officials anticipate as many as $15,000 worth of equipment was stolen by the suspects, with possible links to other burglaries.
