SAN ANTONIO - Two security guards are in the hospital after being shot at a homeless shelter near Downtown.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday at the intake building of Haven For Hope near Frio Street.

Police said a man, who was denied access to the building, started banging on the door. Two security guards came out to detain the suspect when he started fighting with them.
