Theft at Walmart ends in crash at intersection with stolen pickup truck
Two cars that crashed at an intersection on the city's Northeast Side started as a theft from a Walmart Thursday morning.
Police said they were called to the Walmart at 8315 Farm-to-Market 78 for a theft in progress Thursday morning around 10:30 a.m. Three suspects were allegedly using stolen credit cards to make purchases and then return for cash.
One male suspect was arrested and found with meth on him, and he also had a warrant out of Bexar County for a theft cause.
Authorities said a second male and a female fled in a stolen white pickup truck. Police attempted to stop them in the Walmart parking lot, but they took off, striking multiple vehicles at the intersection of Woodlake Parkway and Eisenhauer Road. The male suspect was arrested, but the female is still at large.
Police said several people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
