Two people are being charged in connection with damage done to one of San Antonio's historic missions.

A police affidavit states 19-year-old Andres Castaneda and 20-year-old Gabriella Fritz will both face "Graffiti" charges.

The graffiti on Mission San Juan Church was discovered early Friday morning, and police released surveillance video of the incident Friday evening and asked the public to help them identify the suspects. Police said the suspects used spray paint to paint words and symbols on the outside of the church.

An arrest warrant affidavit states Castaneda turned himself in Friday night after the video was broadcast on television and online. Police say while being interviewed by officers, he admitted to being one of the suspects in the video who had done graffiti at Mission San Juan Church. The affidavit states Castaneda also identified Fritz as one of the people who had vandalized the church and said the vehicle in the surveillance video belongs to her.
