Student accused of assaulting principal arrested, charged

A student accused of assaulting a San Antonio Independent School District principal is now facing charges.

A district spokeswoman said it happened on May 15 at the Estrada Achievement Center, an alternative high school, in the hallway outside of the campus police officer's office. The student pushed and knocked down the principal, causing him to fall and cut his hands.

The student was identified as 17-year-old Michelle Ochoa. She now faces an assault of a public servant charge.
