Man stabbed in the neck at San Marcos Christmas festival, suspects sought

    Police are investigating a reported stabbing at a Christmas festival event in San Marcos Wednesday night.

    It happened at the "Sights & Sounds of Christmas" event south of the Texas State University campus.

    The victim was transported to Seton Hays Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

    San Marcos Police say the suspects have been identified by both the victim and numerous witnesses.

    SMPD says this was an isolated incident that happened die to an "existing disagreement" between the suspect and the victim.

    Police are searching for two Hispanic males in their 20s, one with a neck tattoo. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Aubry at 512-781-5128.
