Special Olympics of Texas seeking donations
A month after Hurricane Harvey, Texans are in need of some help. The Special Olympics of Texas is making a plea to the public to make sure those who look forward to participating in the Special Olympics - can still do so.
Harvey caused the organization to postpone and cancel events across the state - including fundraisers. That left the Special Olympics of Texas with a big gap to fill financially. The non-profit organization says some of their sponsors also redirected funds to help Harvey victims.
Now, they've launched a fundraising campaign to ask for donations. Their goal: raise $100,000 over the next month.
