SAN ANTONIO -- Border Patrol agents detained several immigrants following a bailout near the Texas-Mexico border Friday.

It happened Friday morning when agents at the Zapata station responded to a pickup truck picking up suspected undocumented immigrants near Ramireño, Texas. As it entered the Zapata city limits, it tried to avoid agents and the driver drove through a local ranch property fence. Agents then witnessed several people running from the truck to the nearby brush, according to a news release.

Agents found 6 undocumented immigrants while searching the area. Two were found to be from Mexico and the rest were from Guatemala. All 6 were arrested and federally processed.

The driver of the truck was not found, but the truck was seized by Border Patrol.
