SAPD: Armed person in clown costume shoots at West Side homeowner
An armed person in a clown costume is at large after police said the clown followed a West Side homeowner into his house, opened fire and ran from the house Friday evening.
According to authorities, a juvenile was outside of his home in the 300 block of San Carlos Street listening to music and went inside when an individual in a full-on clown costume followed him inside and attempted to shoot him. The teen told police the gun jammed twice.
Police said the juvenile was able to get a look at the suspect, describing the suspect as a person in a clown costume and mask.
The clown attempted to fire a third shot and police said the clown was successful -- firing off one round inside the home.
Authorities said no one was injured.
