SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio resident is $1 million richer after claiming the top prize in the Texas Lottery scratch off game, Million Dollar Loteria.
The unidentified winner won the first of five top prizes worth $1 million. The scratch-off ticket was bought at Suncoast Foodmart along San Pedro Avenue.
"I was elated," the winner said in a statement. "It was unbelievable. I kept reading the ticket, I scanned it on the app, went back to the store and I was told it [the prize] needed to be claimed at the lottery headquarters. At that point, I knew the win was for real."
