DETROIT - San Antonio seems to be getting hot in January.

The Spurs (24-17) are winners of five in a row after its 119-107 win over Detroit.

The Pistons, though 4-14 in their last 18 games, came out firing. Detroit (17-20) took a 31-25 lead after the first.

Whether the Spurs needed a wake up call or not, being down after one seemed to be it. The red-hot silver and black took a lead off a DeMar DeRozan 21-foot pull up with 9:48 left in the second quarter and never looked back.

The Spurs finished with both DeRozan (26) and LaMarcus Aldridge (25) scoring more than 25.

Its bench was able to bring in 29 points itself.

Meanwhile, Detroit's star Blake Griffin grabbed 32 points but only had two rebounds coupled with his eight assists.

The Spurs will visit Memphis Wednesday night in its first leg of a back-to-back.
