SAN ANTONIO — A 15-year-old girl in foster care has gone missing and her mother is scrambling to find her.
Lilia Anderson says her daughter Kimberly Barry has been in foster care since she lost custody of her in 2012. She's been working to regain custody and they recently had a visit together but on Saturday, she went missing.
"She's only 15 years old. She can't be out there by herself, you know, with no body to take care of her. It's dangerous out there," said Anderson.
Anderson says Kimberly went to Houston Hospital and no one knows where she went from there. She's been missing since Saturday, February 24th.
"It makes no sense. Somebody made a mistake here. My daughter is out there on the streets obviously she was not being taken care of the proper way and she was not being watched," said Anderson.
CPS is unable to tell us anything about the situation, but her Anderson is asking for help to find her.
"I don't know what's going on but I just want my daughter to be safe. It's not even about me. It's about her and her safety and for her to be safe in the right place," said Anderson.
She says she will be passing out fliers and searching for her in San Antonio to Houston.
Kimberly is described as 5'4'', 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
