SAN ANTONIO - A man threatened to kill someone he met on social media after purchasing a fan with a missing part at Exxon, police say.
David Cortez, 68, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to police documents, on Aug. 27, Cortez met with the victim at Exxon to purchase a fan. Cortez later called the victim upset about a missing part.
When they met back at the Exxon, investigators say things escalated and Cortez pulled out a gun threatening to shoot the victim and his wife.
Police say Cortez fled the scene.
According to police, officials identified Cortez after watching surveillance footage.
