Police: Group involved in fatal crash had just left bar
SAN ANTONIO —
Officers say a woman was killed when she drove her car into a pole on the East side early Sunday morning.
It happened at the 2600 block of Harry Wurzbach. Officers said the driver, identified as 34-year-old Doris Dimas Windom, was traveling south on Harry Wurzbach when she drove through the intersection at Eisenhauer Road, began driving the wrong way and struck a utility pole. Police said she was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her four passengers were transported to the hospital with non-serious injuries.
When officers arrived, several alcohol bottles were found inside the car. Windom's passengers told police that they had just left a bar.
