A 13-year-old boy received minor injuries when a pickup truck slammed into his bedroom as he slept in his Northeast Side home.

The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Monday at the house, located on the corner of Galahad and Ray Bon Drive.

Investigators say a red pickup truck hit the corner of the house, where a teen was in a bedroom. He suffered some scratches, but was otherwise okay.

Police later said a second child received minor injuries.

Witnesses said the driver tried to back out of the house and asked the family not to call 911. Officers at the scene said the driver would be tested for intoxicants.

There were several other people inside the house at the time of the crash. No one else was hurt.
