SAN ANTONIO - The official cause of death for King Jay Davila has been ruled homicide by blunt force trauma, according to the medical examiner's office.
The 8- month-old baby was reported missing in January, after father Chris Davila said he was taken from a gas station parking lot.
However, police had doubts of Davila's story from the beginning.
His body was found January 11, wrapped in a blanket and placed inside a backpack.
Multiple family members have been arrested and charged.
The investigation is ongoing.
There will be a community memorial service to honor the life of baby King Jay Saturday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at the Christian World Worship Center on 6633 Walzem Road. There will be a flower planting ceremony following the service.
