Suspect arrested in shooting death of New Braunfels man

New Braunfels police have arrested a man accused of shooting and killing another man on Monday.

Officers were called to the 2800 block of Windgate Drive for reports of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, 36-year old Eleazar Longoria Jr. was found with a single gunshot wound to his chest. First responders tried to save him, but their attempts were unsuccessful.

Further investigation led officers to 37-year-old Paul Jason Roberts. Roberts was arrested and charged with murder, a first-degree felony.

Police said the investigation into Longoria's death remains ongoing.
