Deputies searched for a murder suspect who eluded them during a standoff after SWAT officers surrounded a house in West Bexar County.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office was called to the home on Bisley Pass, near Loop 1604 and Marbach Road, for a report of a family disturbance at about 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Witnesses told police they saw a woman struggling with a man. She was later spotted running out of the house and screaming.

Deputies surrounded the house believing the suspect was barricaded inside.

SWAT officers tried to communicate with the suspect, but received no response. They eventually deployed gas canisters in the house to get the suspect to come out. When they went inside, they found the suspect was gone.

A deputy at the scene said the 19-year-old suspect is wanted on a murder warrant, as well as aggravated assault warrants, but they did not provide his name.
