Motorcyclist sent to hospital after crashing into pole
A man crashed his motorcycle into a pole on the Northwest Side Monday evening, sending him to the hospital.
Police said a 50-year-old man was preparing to turn left on Hamilton Wolfe while on Fredericksburg Road. He had the green light, a witness said, but he ran off the road and hit a pole. The man wasn't a wearing a helmet and he was not hit by anything, police said.
He was taken to University Hospital in unknown condition.
Police said they do not know what caused him to run off the road.
