McDonald's employees startled by gunshot victim lying on floor behind counter
SAN ANTONIO - A man with a gunshot wound to the leg startled employees at a McDonald's restaurant on the city's West Side early Monday morning.
According to officers, the man found his way behind the counter at the restaurant on Culebra Road near North Elmendorf Street at about 3 a.m.
He was lying on the floor when employees saw him. They called police, who later noticed the man was shot in the leg.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officers at the scene said the man was incoherent and may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No other information was released.
