Man shot in groin during ambush near downtown
SAN ANTONIO - Police are on the hunt for a shooter who opened fire on a man on Thursday.
The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Krocker Way and SW 18th Street.
Police said the victim was walking out to his car when he was shot in the groin area. Police found several shell casings on the ground.
The victim was originally taken in a car to the closest hospital, but was then transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Police said they were told a black sedan with three people inside was last seen leaving the area, possibly with a female and two men inside. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police are investigating whether this was a targeted attack.
