Man shot after confronting suspects who were breaking into his vehicle

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in critical condition after he was shot confronting three men breaking into his vehicle.

Police were dispatched to the 4600 block of Clark Avenue at around 1:44 p.m. for a shooting in progress.

Upon arrival, they found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his torso area.

According to officials, the man was shot when confronting three males who were breaking into his vehicle. The suspects then left with his vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied.

The man was transported in critical condition.

This is an ongoing investigation.
