SAN ANTONIO — The Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of a man who was found shot in front of a convenience store west of Downtown Thursday morning.

Police received a call about a man down on the 2400 block of Chihuahua Street around 7 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot would to his upper torso.

The Medical Examiner's Office Saturday identified the victim as 23-year-old Brian Walker. A cause of death was not released.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said Thursday that drug activity is known to happen in the area, but it's not known if that's what led to the shooting.
