Man dropped off at gas station with gunshot wound to the head
SAN ANTONIO —
Officers are investigating what led to a a man being shot in the head overnight.
Police were called to a gas station at I-37 and Southton Road at about 1:50 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they learned that a man was dropped off at the gas station and suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The shooting was traced back to a vacant field in the 13700 block of Goeth in South Bexar County. Investigators believe a big party was being held there.
The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
