Man charged with murder after shooting woman in the head inside hotel room

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested for murder after shooting a woman in the head and fleeing the scene.

The shooting happened around 11:11 p.m., May 3, on the 2400 block of Southwest Loop 410.

According to the affidavit, Albert Casanova and the victim rented out a room at the OYO Hotel. At some point during their stay, Casanova rushes out of the hotel room and flees the scene by stealing the victim’s car.

A hotel manager entered their hotel room later that night on May 3 and found the victim dead.

Upon further investigation, Casanova’s fingerprints were found on belongings inside the hotel room.

Albert Casanova is being charged with Murder.
