The Bexar County Medical Examiner confirmed that Johnnie Mobley, 61, died at the hospital from his injuries. According to the arrest report, witnesses said they saw Mobley get shot and run back to his truck where he told a friend he'd been shot. He passed out shortly after.

At least four other people were taken to the hospital, another in critical condition.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Jan. 17 in the parking lot of Santa's Place along Spriggsdale Boulevard near E. Commerce Street.

Police said about 30-60 people were gathered to celebrate MLK Day when shots were fired, hitting the five victims. Two victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while other two suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a different hospital.

Another victim drove herself to the hospital. She said she was shot while standing by a food truck. That victim told police that she saw Wallace walking with a gun under his armpit just before the shooting started. She said she recognized him because, at one time, both lived at the same apartment complex, according to the arrest report.

After she was shot, she ran to her car and drove off with her daughter.
